Book Three, VAMPYRE 2000: No Rest for the Wicked is AVAILABLE NOW!!!

September 28th, 2012

This morning I spoke to the Creative Writing students at Lincoln High School in Idaho Falls. The students were awesome; they were truly engaged and asked a lot of very intelligent questions. It was my pleasure to have the opportunity to be in their auditorium and speak to them. My thanks to Mr. James Dalton and the faculty of Lincoln High School for putting it together.

In January 2013, Book Three, Vampyre 2000: No Rest for the Wicked will be released! With it, The Vampyre 2000 Series will become a Trilogy and I have partnered with a Publicist for its release. I’m very xcited to announce that the PR company, PR by the Book, will be representing V2K. It is owned by publicist Marika Flatt and I am looking forward to her professional services and her help in marketing the trilogy to the United States and the rest of the world.

In the spring of 2011, I was invited, by my publisher to attend a pitchfest in Los Angeles, California in July. It was an exclusive event; only 150 authors were able to attend and it was the first time that a publishing house had brought its authors directly to LA and put them in front of executives from Hollywood.

In July, I attended that event and I was instructed by Robert Kosberg (http://www.moviepitch.com/about_bob.htm) on the finer points of pitching my idea to Hollywood. I then pitched my story to a group of execs that he and actor Marcus Chait (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1483939/) brought along with them. Most of them felt that Vampyre 2000 would best be adapted to an independent film. While two of them thought it would be better served as a studio feature film. One of those production companies requested my books and my information from the publisher. I am still waiting to hear from that production company. In January of 2012, I began a conversation with a Producer/Director from New York. He is interested in V2K because, to him, the first book might be an excellent two hour television pilot. The period between 1804 (Cornelius’ origin) and 2010 (when the book takes place) could represent an unlimited number of television episodes and/or feature films. As flattering as that was and no matter how much this interest from people in the industry has helped to validate that I have some something that is quality and different from the rest, I realize that I need to get this story into more people’s hands. People that will realize the significant potential these books have to become a major motion picture or television series.

Here is the three minute practice pitch that I delivered in Los Angeles last summer. I would love for you to take a few minutes of your time and listen to it, but it comes with a warning. For those of you are reading the book and haven’t finished it yet or those of you who are going to read the book and have not yet, this audio file will reveal its ending.

For the last several months, I’ve been trying to find a way to make this available on the internet at places like, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and this website. I was unsuccessful in my attempts until I loaded the Dropbox App on my tablet. Using its public folder, I can put anything in there that I want to share with others. And I will.

After you listen to the practice pitch, I would appreciate it if you could grant me one favor. On the left, click on “Contact the Author” and leave me your thoughts on any and all of this.

Was notified by Barnes & Noble yesterday (10-15-2011) that Vampyre 2000: Ill of the Dead will be joining Life to the Lifeless for in store placement. I should know more about the where and the when later...

The October 8th, Barnes and Noble Book Signing was another success. I'd like to thank everyone who came out in support of me and my books. The event was for the newly released second book, Vampyre 2000: Ill of the Dead. Because of that, it was the first time that I sold and signed both Life to the Lifeless and Ill of the Dead at the same book signing. That was a fantastic feeling. In attendance were some coworkers, some old friends and I even made some new ones. It was a fantastic Book Signing and I have all of you to thank for it.

Book Signing:

October 8th, 2011. Barnes and Noble, 2300 E. 17th St. Idaho Falls, ID 1:00pm.

Book Two, Vampyre 2000: Ill of the Dead is available!

The execs that I pitched to in LA felt that V2K was highly original, had marketability and my pitch was highly effective. Two of them felt that its best medium for adaption was independent film, although the rest thought that it was better suited as a studio feature film. Out of those that did, AN EXECUTIVE FROM HOLLYWOOD HAS REQUESTED MY BOOK AND MORE INFORMATION FROM THE PUBLISHER!  Hopefully, in the next several weeks, I will find out if V2K is going to turn into a motion picture project.

Later this month, on July 22nd, 2011, I will be traveling to Los Angeles to learn how to pitch my book idea and then pitch it to a group of Agents and Producers from Hollywood. Although, Life to the Lifeless and Ill of the Dead would both make fantastic motion pictures, Life to the Lifeless may lend itself well to a TV pilot. Either way, the idea will be to move V2K from the page to the screen. I will be happy with either outcome.

I have just been notified that V2K is now sold on the shelves of
Barnes and Noble Bookstores in more than fifteen American states. New York, Massachusetts, Carolina, Michigan, Illinois, Washington and Idaho to name just a few! Ask for it in a store near you today.

Book Signings:

October 30th, Waldenbooks, Walrus & Carpenter, Pocatello, ID 11:30am-5:00pm. I want to thank Drew from Waldenbooks and Will at Walrus & Carpenter. For these book signings I didn't have my hometown base of friends and coworkers. Both of these gentleman gave me an opportunity to get out and speak to the community and the people of Pocatello. The awareness that it created was fantastic and people expressed genuine excitement. It was great and the two book signings were another success.

September 25th, Barnes and Noble, 2300 E. 17th St. Idaho Falls, ID 2:00-4:00pm. Thanks to everyone who came out to the book signing at Barnes and Noble! It was another huge success and I appreciate all of your support for V2K. Because of all of the interest and support, V2K has now sold Hundreds of copies in it's first three months...

August 14th, Hastings, 540 E. 17th St. Idaho Falls, ID 1:00pm-4:00pm KIDK Channel 3 will also be there. The first book signing for VAMPYRE 2000:Life to the Lifeless was a success! Dozens of people stopped by including friends, coworkers and several people who hadnt heard about the book. A reporter from one of our local TV channels showed up and did an interview and I sold and signed 20 copies of the book. The turnout was great and all the exposure it created was even better. It was exactly what V2K needs to help it become a success. But more than anything, I had alot of fun.
